You Can Fly
You don’t have to avoid it. You don’t have to dread it.
Overcome fear by understanding the actual problem: loss of presence of mind. Learn to be yourself when you fly by learning how to feel safe when you “stay here.”
When the class is ready, as a separate event, we will schedule a flight to take together as our next step. It’s optional. It may be your graduation step to fly confidently for the rest of your life, or it may be the next step in learning, to be continued by a few more class sessions. Pay the cost of your own flight. The cost of the instructor’s flight and expenses is split by the participants. (Last time, the flight was $176.)
Melon Dash has taught adults who are terrified in water to become confident and free in deep water for 37 years (1983). She is the author of Conquer Your Fear of Water. The system has never once failed: it is about learning, not swimming, and it can be applied to any fear. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, USA Today, NBC’s Today Show, NPR, Psychology Today, Athletic Business, CNN’s Headline News, Travel News Network, San Francisco Chronical, Tampa Bay Times, Sarasota Herald Tribune, Recreation, Real Simple, Elle, and numerous other media. She is author of Conquer Your Fear of Water and Conquer Your Fear of the Triathlon Swim. She now teaches fear of flying courses, Goodbye, Claustrophobia and will add others. She uses the system in her own life.
We are accompanied by a retired Delta pilot who answers airplane and flight questions.
